I have

* Yamaha RX-663 - 315.00 * Samsung LN-4095D - 1700.00 * Cheapo speakers from a Sony DAV-HT500 kit 200 bucks (using that receiver in the “ManRoom”) * Cheapo sub from a Sony 990 HT kit.. 100 bucks. Using the speakers and receiver from that kit in the garage. * PS3 - 400.00 * Crappy old tv stand - free. * some monoprice speaker stands for side surround speakers - 20 bucks.

I want..

* Logitech 550 Remote * STV-2 HSU sub. * Nice speakers, but.. They are so expensive. * Wallmount for the TV, probably the Monoprice one. * A nicer stand for ps3/receiver stuff * ps3 ir thingy http://www.schmartstuff.com/sony-ps3-ir-upgrad.html

Some speaker ideas.. I want something that is attractive, minimalistic and can be wall mounted or “hung” off my LCD wall mount (So the speakers move with the TV when it moves..) I also want my Center, Left, and Right speakers to be identical. I want something that sounds pretty good but I don't want to spend 5k on speakers. That's just not my budget. I want to watch exciting movies and play badass ps3 games and have the system give me a “there” feel.. But.. Still…

I've read a lot of happy owners of these. http://www.definitivetech.com/loudspeakers/mythos/mythos.html

Read some people recomending these.. http://www.monitoraudiousa.com/product.php?range=4&product=27&area=2

These have great reviews and I read that they are better for HT then the Monitor Audios that are apparently much more musical. I don't sit in my living room and listen to music.. So I really don't care about musical so much. http://www.paradigm.com/en/paradigm/speaker_only-specification-53-1-2-2.paradigm

Some more thought.. I'd like a system were the surrounds and LCR match nicely - both visually but performance wise. I'd like to set a single crossover at about 80htz. I like having some bass all around me. The Paradigm's would require a crossover at around 120ish and the rear speakers are not very attractive to me, actually neither are the fronts. Comparing them more closely to the Monitor Audio's I like the design of the MA's better. Sometimes I do listen to music - and I can emotionally talk about the focal speakers in my car and how Jack Johnson's voice sounds. I'd like to have that in my house too. Maybe the MA's are best.

So..

A R250 Center, two R225's for L/R, and 2 R180's for SR/SL.. I could put a R250 as a Rear channel.. But I think that'd be overkill in my current space.
